Public facilities include three parks, a City-owned 18-hole championship golf course, and a $2,000,000 swimming center at Lemoore High School. The City's Recreation Department organizes sports leagues, leisure classes, entertainment events including community theater productions and day-camp programs. Youth participate in organized sports leagues such as Little League baseball, Pop Warner Football, girl's softball, and soccer. Twenty full-time sworn officers augmented by an active Reserve program keep the crime rate among the lowest of central California cities. Lemoore Police Department's community based policing philosophy encourages cooperation between officers and residents.
