The LVFD has operated as an all volunteer department since 1921. In June 1997, the Department earned a Class 3 Rating. This is an insurance rating based on a 1-10 scale with the lower numbers the best. Lemoore’s Class 3 Rating from the ISO is the highest rating in Kings County.

The Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department includes one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, four Crew Captains, seven engineers, eleven EMTs, one Secretary and one maintenance man.

We serve a population of 17,100 and cover an area of approximately nine square miles and have Mutual Aid Agreements with Kings County Fire, Hanford City Fire and the Lemoore Naval Air Station. Public Service includes fire inspections, tours, and demonstrations.

Emergency services are provided 24 hours a day. Office hours are 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.
