The latest addition to our crime fighting abilities is the K-9 Unit. Authorized by the Lemoore City Council in October 2005, the K-9 Unit serves to reduce manpower needs to search structures and open areas for suspects, reduce injuries to officers, crowd control, and provides a higher level of police service to the citizens of the community for protection of property and apprehension of criminals. In the future the K-9 Unit will cross training for drug detection. The K-9 Unit will respond to the requests from our local schools.
