When you park the car, remove cellular phones, cassette and CD players and other valuable possession.
When shopping, put all packages and valuables in your trunk or take them with you.
Lock all doors and windows when you are going out.
Use timers so that lights, radio, TV go on and off throughout the house to indicate someone is home.
Include good locks for garage, patio or other doors that lead out through storage areas or a spare room.
Remember, if you come home and see a broken window or a door or damaged - don't go in. Phone the police immediately.
