LEMOORE PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7:00 p.m.
At the request of Chairperson Moss and City Manager Briltz, the Navy has confirmed they will have two jets flyover West Hills College at 7:20 p.m. One jet flying dirty, and one jet flying clean a few minutes later. People will hear the noise difference first hand. This will be similar to the exercise done for the General Plan Steering Committee.
At the beginning of the Planning Commission meeting, Commissioners will need to agree by consensus to move the meeting to the College for the period of the flyover and then come back to Council Chambers to continue the meeting. Should there be a consensus to listen to the noise, The Planning Commission will travel to the college and meet in front of building 3 which is the building closest to Bush Street.
Because comments were made from several people stating they did not know about the meetings and wanted to speak, Chairperson Moss has stated that she will “take additional public comments from those who have not spoken” before the Planning Commission. Deliberations resume at tonight’s meeting on the General Plan.
