The Planning and Community Development Department provides technical and administrative assistance to the Planning Commission, which is comprised of seven citizen members. Depending on the type of application, the Planning Commission reviews and approves proposals or makes recommendations on them to the City Council. The Planning Commission also develops policies and development standards for the City. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month in the City Council Chambers at 429 "C" Street at 7:00 p.m.

The Lemoore Planning Commission meetings are held in the Council Chambers at 429 "C" Street every 2^nd and 4^th Monday of each month. All meetings are open to the public, and persons wishing to speak to the Commission may do so by submitting an agenda item the week prior to the meeting, or by appearing during the "public comment and inquiry" portion of the meeting.
