The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest classroom driver refresher course specially designed for motorists age 50 and older. This 8 hour course is offered to help older drivers improve their skills while teaching them to avoid accidents and traffic violations. As an AARP Driver Safety Program Sponsor, the Tomas Martinez Senior Center provides a valuable service to all seniors. Most classes are taught in two, four-hour sessions (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) spanning two days (usually Thrusday and Friday), and the course costs $10. You may schedule a seat in a future class through the Kings County Commission on Aging Council at (559) 582-3211 ext. 2828.
