The National Family Partnership (NFP), founded in 1980 by concerned parents from around the United States, is a nationwide network of groups dedicated to nurturing healthy and drug free youth and families.

During the annual Red Ribbon Celebration, local communities hold events to increase awareness of the issues surrounding substance abuse and to encourage youths to choose a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Many schools dedicate the week to drug prevention and education with special lessons and activities.

Local area schools are participating in the nationally recognized Red Ribbon Week. Activities proposed at Lemoore Schools include (1) Door/Room Decorating Contest, (2) School Spirit Contest between all elementary schools, and (3) K-9 (Police Dog) Show. The Lemoore Police Department held the eventat at the Lemoore City Park #1 on Saturday October 25 from 10 AM to 2 PM.

CSO Soledad Perez is available to answer questions about this event.
