Update Process
Staff initiated this effort in April 2010. Initial efforts include reviewing all relevant policy documents (related Municipal Code Sections, existing plans, etc.), identification
of all directives for the General Plan, and staff and policy maker discussions regarding key issues and concerns with existing regulations. Workshops with the public, Planning Commission, and City
Council will provide the scope and issue focus for the preparation of draft provisions.
Summary of Key Issues
Based upon the directives from the City’s General Plan, a review of the current development regulations, and discussions with the public, City Council, Planning Commission,
and City staff, the consultant team has compiled the following list of key issues to be addressed during the update.
